• Maurice Griffith Williams died in 1939 and the command of the company is up to Mario de Albuquerque Mello, who has worked with the company for several years and gets most of its shares;

• With the death of Maurice Williams, Mario Williams adopts the surname legally to that style of the firm could remain unchanged;

• In 1952, the firm adopted its current name: WILLIAMS & CIA. LTDA.

• Mario Williams directs the company's business for the agency of Navigation, which entails the closure of operations of import and export.
