Updates About the Back Up of Trucks in Port of Paranagua

The queue of trucks with grains cargos waiting to enter the port of Paranagua has decreased slightly, to around 29km long. Although loading operations have stepped up as rains have slackened off, there is no room in port to stock the product, leading to delays.

Additionally, as the trucks are greatly delayed to return to the producing region at this peak time in the harvest, the cost of short freight (up to 100 km) has increased by 50% as of last week.
