From January to May a total of 9 million tons of grains were exported from the port of Paranagua, which is 12% more than in 2012. The port received 155,672 trucks loaded with grains during this period. This is the largest volume registered to date in this port and in spite of the intense movement, there was no congestion to access the area. The Cargo system for the receipt of grains used by the port guaranteed the receipt of the cargoes without forming long lines on the roads as this system only allows the trucks to proceed to the port of Paranagua when there is space in the warehouse to receive the cargo.
Only in the month of May, a total of 41.250 trucks arrived at the port, which is 18% more than in May 2012, and with improved weather conditions, the exportation of grains is gradually increasing.
