12% INCREASE IN SHIPMENTS OF GRAINS FROM PARANAGUA

Even without increasing the loading structure, the port of Paranagua is shipping out 12% more grains than in 2012. The growth was verified from January to May, which is the crucial period for the record grain crop, when 9 million tons of soybeans, soybean meal, corn and sugar left the terminals on their way to the international market. A total of 18.2 million tons of products passed through Paranagua, against 17.3 million tons in 2012.
