EXPORTATION OF GRAINS SHOULD DOUBLE IN THE NEXT FEW YEARS

Brazilian exports of soyabeans and corn should practically double within the next ten years, from 65 million tons to 110 million tons. This is the estimate by Bunge based on operations after inaugurating Terfron (North Frontier Port Terminal), which is a logistic system formed by a station for transshipment in Miritituba, in Para State, transport of grains on the Tapajos River and receipt and exportation through the port of Vila do Conde, also in Para State.

That terminal, which should export 2 million tons this year and double its capacity in 2015, may receive investments to export 8 million tons in 2018.

Considering the 4 million ton export capacity foreseen for next year, with Terfron Bunge will increase their loading capacity in Brazil to 35 million tons of grains per year.
